Wendy Paratian

Coordinator

Wendy joined the Executive Secretariat for the Enhanced Integrated Framework at the WTO in January 2025, where she oversees a portfolio of 16 countries across Africa and Asia.

In her previous role at the International Trade Centre (ITC), Wendy contributed to key programmes and initiatives, including SheTrades that aims to increase the participation of women entrepreneurs in international trade. She led programmes and events that built the capacity of key stakeholders and over 4,000 women-led Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Global South, across sectors such as agribusiness, beauty products, creative industries, fashion, IT & BPO, textiles, and tourism. These efforts empowered women entrepreneurs to bring their products to market, generated increased incomes benefiting their communities and promoted a more equitable international trade.

Wendy also oversaw ITC flagship events globally, including the Joint WTO-ITC SheTrades Summit at MC13 in Abu Dhabi (2024) with the launch of the $50 million global fund for Women Exporters in the Digital Economy (WEIDE) supporting women to access international trade and the digital economy.

Wendy holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute in Geneva, and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Tourism Management from Oxford Brookes University.
