Hang Tran

Hang is Senior Coordinator at the Executive Secretariat for the EIF, responsible for the EIF portfolio in the Asia-Pacific and Burkina Faso. Hang is also providing secretariat service for the EIF Board.

Before joining the EIF in August 2011, Hang worked at the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Vietnam from 1995 to July 2011, and served as Deputy Permanent Representative of the Vietnam Mission to the WTO; Director General of the Ministry of Trade of Vietnam; Deputy Director-General of Multilateral Trade Policy Department; and Director of the Multilateral Trade Policy Assistance Programme.

Hang is a Foreign Trade University of Vietnam graduate and holds a Master's degree in Public Management from Singapore University and Kenney School of Government. She was also lecturing on trade negotiation at the National University of Vietnam. Her experience ranges from trade and industrial policies, trade negotiation, regional integration, training, technical assistance, project management and monitoring and evaluation.
