Lao PDR hosts the 21st session of the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) Board 

Vientiane, 18 - 20 November 2015

 The Board of the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) will open its 21st session in Vientiane. The EIF is the only Aid for Trade Partnership exclusively dedicated to support the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to use trade as a vehicle for economic growth and poverty reduction. The programme is currently supported by 23 Donors and works in 51 among the poorest countries in the world.

The EIF Board is the highest decision-making body of the EIF and has representatives of LDCs, Donors and Partner Agencies, the three main constituencies of the EIF partnership.

The programme for the EIF Board Members also includes field visits to ISO certified laboratories and facilities at the Department of Standards and Metrology and to the Garment Skills Development Centre, both supported through the EIF, as well as a meeting with national EIF partners, including the private sector, to share experiences on leveraging EIF support to develop and implement a national Trade and Private Sector Roadmap (TPSD).
