Aissatou Diallo
Executive Director
Ms. Aissatou Diallo is the Executive Director of the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) Executive Secretariat at the World Trade Organization since February 2026.
Ms. Diallo brings more than 25 years of experience in trade-related technical assistance from the International Trade Centre (ITC). She most recently served as Chief of the Office for Africa, where she oversaw ITC’s continental portfolio, including its work in the LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS.
She was the Lead Coordinator for ITC's contribution to the Doha Programme of Action. She furthermore spearheaded ITC’s support to the private sector under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) through the One Trade Africa programme. She also played a key role in advancing the EU–Africa Trade Competitiveness and Market Access Programme, strengthening Africa’s regional integration for trade and investment ties with Europe.
Ms. Diallo has led trade development programmes focused on export competitiveness, value chains development, employment creation, and intra- and interregional trade. She has a strong record in Aid for Trade resource mobilization and extensive engagement with governments, the private sector and development partners. She is well acquainted with the EIF, having implemented several EIF projects during EIF Phases One and Two.
Before joining ITC, Ms. Diallo worked on human rights and economic development at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights as well as in the private sector in Geneva.
Ms. Diallo is a Guinean and Swiss national. She holds a Master’s degree in international law and an advanced degree in economics and is fluent in English and French.
