Peter Donelan

Peter is responsible for coordinating 17 countries in the LDC portfolio in Sub-Saharan Africa and the South Pacific as well as regional projects.
He has built significant experience and expertise on Aid for Trade and Results Based Management living and working in LDCs in Sub-Saharan Africa since 2006. Specialist practice areas include the Making Markets Work approach to development, the nexus between Aid for Trade and Climate Change, sustainable agri-business, cross border trade and responsible tourism backward linkages. In the past he has worked as a Coordinator for the UNCTAD led UN Trade Cluster in Tanzania and UNDP country offices in the roles of Private Sector Development Programme Specialist in Sierra Leone and Trade Specialist in Tanzania. Peter has also worked for the EIF as a Consultant and provided support to several LDCs, such as The Gambia, Liberia, Mali, Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Tanzania. Peter holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2003.
