Violeta Gonzalez Behar

Head, Partnerships, Outreach and Resource Mobilization (On temporary secondment since September 2021)

Violeta is head of Partnerships, Communications and Resource Mobilization at the Enhanced Integrated Framework, a sustainable trade multilateral partnership at the World Trade Organization. In this capacity, she leads a global team in helping EIF build strategic partnerships, communicate results, and secure financing for operations in 51 developing economies. She is a global trade and sustainable development expert with over 15 years of senior management experience with leading international organizations. Prior to EIF, Violeta was the Team Leader for Partnerships and Resource Development at the Center for International Forestry Research and Head of Business Development and Communications for the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization. She has helped organizations raise over US$ 300 million for activities contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals. Violeta received her undergraduate degree from Carleton College in the USA, master's degree from the College of Europe in Belgium and Poland, and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Fluent in English, Spanish, French and in Mandarin. Violeta grew up in the USA and Mexico and has lived in over 10 countries across Asia, Europe, and North America.
